This repository contains the shear wave motion data generated by the analytical approach described in:
Rouze, N.C., Palmeri, M.L., Nightingale, K.R., 2015. An analytic, Fourier domain description of shear wave propagation in a viscoelastic medium using asymmetric Gaussian sources. J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 138(2), 1012–1022.
These datasets were used to create images in the article:
Jachym, W., Urban, M.W., Kijanka, P., 2025. Estimation of the phase velocity dispersion curves for viscoelastic materials using Point Limited Shear Wave Elastography. Ultrasonics 148, 107566.
The models used are three-parameter, standard linear solid (Zener) models. The spatial and time domains were uniformly sampled at 0.167 mm and 0.167 ms, respectively. The dimensions of the simulated domains are 0–40 mm in the spatial domain and 0–40 ms in the time domain.
Each dataset contains shear wave motion waveforms (VM), as well as space (x) and time (t) vectors. In addition, parameters describing stiffness (mu1 and mu2) and viscosity (eta) are provided. Each dataset also includes the analytical dispersion curve (f and c_Analytical).
