Two SOFAR Spotter drifting buoys were deployed to measure trajectory and waves in the marginal ice zone during the MR21 Arctic Ocean expeditions on board R/V Mirai. The buoys were deployed on 17 and 18 September 2021. The buoys were deployed near the ice edge to measure the waves in the water near the old ice and in the freezing season.
