RNAseq of pacific herring juveniles after exposure to the virus viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHSV) . A subset of fish were briefly exposed to oil during the larval stage, then returned to clean water for the remainder of development. Juveniles were exposed to a virus to assess how development in oil impacts response to a viral exposure later in life.
