The mangrove cricket, Apteronemobius asahinai, show endogenous activity rhythms that synchronize with the tidal cycle, i.e. circa-tidal rhythms. Little is known about the molecular mechanisms of the circatidal rhythm. The draft genome of the mangrove cricket is expected to facilitate the future studies.
