Endosidin20 resistant mutant sequencing

This project aims to clone the Ethyl methanesulfonate induced mutated genes in Arabidopsis thaliana that lead to resistance to Ensosidin20. We crossed the mutants that are from the Col ecotype background to Ler and selected the resistant plants in F2 population for high-throughput genome sequencing. We also sequenced all the cellulose synthase genes in some homozygous mutant plants that were originated from different independent mutant lines. The single nucleotide polymorphism allows us to clone the mutant gene.
