RNA-seq analysis was used to elucidate the mechanism of 2-Carboxyanthraquinone and Rhein as anti-biofilm agents Mature MRSA biofilms were treated by 2-Carboxyanthraquinone and Rhein at the concentration of 100ug/ml, and washed by 1×PBS three times after 8h. Then the biofilm was suspended again to collect the bacteria and the total RNA was extracted using Trizol reagent. There were 9 samples in total with 3 samples in each group. The library construction and sequencing with Illumina nova-seq6000 and data analysis were performed by Genergy Biotechnology Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China).
