Staphylococcus species have a wide range of virulence determinants, such as cytotoxins, enterotoxins, exfoliative toxins, adhesion proteins and other. However, little is knowns about Staphylococcus schleiferi pathogenicity. Few studies adress the carriage of some Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxins among the species. Thus, it is important to study and to characterize the biofilm forming capacity, evaluate antimicrobial resistance and the carriage of resistance and virulece genetic determinant among the species strains.
