Fragment of another commentary on the mathnawî, by the same ‘Abd-allaṭîf, comprising the <em>fourth</em>, <em>fifth</em>, and part of the <em>sixth</em> daftar of the poem. Title and author’s name appear in the preface to Daftar VI, on ff. 55-56. The copy begins with the initial words of the original Arabic preface of Daftar IV, together with a Persian paraphrase: الحمد لله حقّ حمده و الصّلوة و السّلام على خير خلقه الخ ترجمۀ ديباچۀ عربى همه سپاس و ستايش مر جناب مقدّس الخ. Daftar V, on fol. 31^a; VI, on fol. 56^b. The arrangement of this commentary is quite the same as in the preceding work, to which the author often refers and from which he gives many quotations. Here, as there, Arabic sentences, traditions, verses of the Ḳurân, and difficult Persian baits are translated or explained.
