RNASeq of salivary gland stem cells isolated from patients with incomplete pSS and healthy controls

Salivary gland stem cells (SGSCs) were isolated from parotid salivary gland biopsies, from patients classified as incomplete pSS, and healthy controls. These incomplete pSS patients had no positive lymphocyte focus scores, were not taking medication known to cause dry mouth complaints, all registered complaints of dry eyes and mouth associated with pSS development and did not fulfil the ACR-EULAR criteria. (see Table Supplementary Table 2 of the associated Arthritis and Rheumatology article). We consider these features indicative of early SG pathology development in pSS. Their transcriptome was compared with that of healthy control SGSCs.
