Cover crop effects on soil microbes in Florida citrus

This study compared the effects of non-legume (NL) and non-legume-legume (LG) cover crop mixtures to a grower standard control (no cover crops) on soil prokaryotic and fungal communities in young and old citrus orchards. Understanding how cover crops influence soil microbial communities in tree crops is important for optimum soil health and crop production benefits across orchards of different management conditions.
