A Qualitative Study of Perceived Acute Health Effects of a New Urban Community Garden

The purpose of this study was to qualitatively identify the public health benefits of community garden participation from the perspective of the participants themselves following their first growing season. Following a qualitative design, a total of nineteen participants were interviewed including garden members and other local residents who have had direct personal contact with the garden space (e.g., neighbors living adjacent to the new space). Participants were given the option of sharing in a Spanish or English language interview.本研究旨在从已完成首个种植季的社区花园参与者自身视角出发，定性探究参与社区花园活动所带来的公共健康益处。本研究采用定性研究设计，共访谈19名参与者，涵盖社区花园成员及曾直接接触该花园场地的其他本地居民（例如，毗邻该新建场地的周边住户）。参与者可选择使用西班牙语或英语参与访谈。
