Removals of irregular aliens continue their upward trend in 2022 (+ 14.9 %) without yet returning to pre-Covid-19 levels Forced removals to third countries increased the most (+ 44.0 %), while Dublin and Schengen readmissions decreased slightly (-4.7 %). In total, forced removals to 11410 experienced an increase of + 13.1 %. The dynamics are more marked for assisted distance (+ 33.9 %). As in previous years, the largest number of executions of expulsion measures concern Albanian nationals. Algerians came second, with a very strong increase in 2022 (+ 148.8 %). By adding to the expulsions voluntary departures (aid and spontaneous identified), nearly 20000 foreigners in an irregular situation left the national territory in 2022.
