Amplicon-based analysis of bacterial communities of rat lung and gut following antibiotic treatment.

In order to investigate the effect of antibiotic treatment on the bacterial communities of lung and gut, we performed an amplicon-based analysis of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and feces from wild type LEW/Crl rats (Rattus norvegicus) after 7 days of intratracheal or per os treatment with PBS, neomycin or vancomycin.
