A dataset of protected parrots and turtles sold on Taobao in 2016 – 2017

The dataset consists of two parts, one is the online sales data of protected parrots, another is the online sales data of protected turtles. There are thus two files, (1) DATA_PARROT.xlsx has five worksheets, which respectively store the transactions data of parrots for 4 rounds (each round includes 30-days transaction volumes) and a total data of 120-days transaction volumes of 46 parrot species from 100 prefectures in China. It has a size of 0.15 MB. (2) DATA_TURTLE.xlsx contains six worksheets, including the transactions data of turtles for 5 rounds (each round includes 30-days transaction volumes) and a total data of 150-days transaction volumes of 49 turtle species from 109 prefectures in China. It has a size of 3.83 MB.

该数据集分为两部分，其一为受保护鹦鹉的在线销售数据，其二为受保护龟类的在线销售数据。因此，包含两个文件：(1) DATA_PARROT.xlsx 包含五个工作表，分别存储四轮鹦鹉的交易数据（每轮包含30天的交易量）以及来自中国100个地区的46种鹦鹉120天的总交易量数据，其文件大小为0.15 MB。(2) DATA_TURTLE.xlsx 包含六个工作表，包括五轮龟类的交易数据（每轮包含30天的交易量）以及来自中国109个地区的49种龟类的150天总交易量数据，其文件大小为3.83 MB。
