资源简介:
The small Indian mongoose (Urva auropunctata) is a generalist predator that naturally occurs in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. It has been introduced to many islands in the Pacific and Indian Oceans adn Carribbean and Adriatic Seas, as well as to mainland Europe, South America, Australia, and North America. It has also listed among 100 of the World's Worst Invasive Alien Species. The eradication programs are on going worldwide. For efficient management, it needed a method to assess the population size. To develop the simple short repeat (SSR) markers of the small Indian mongoose for individual identification, we have sequenced the DNA isolated from a muscle tissue obtained from Okinawa Island, Japan.
