Dataset of Malonate Enol Ether Synthesis by Additions of Diester Metal Carbenes to Ketones and Subsequent Dual Orthogonal Reactivity

Effective formation of malonate enol ethers by reaction of cyclic ketones with α diazomalonates is reported using [CpRu(CH3CN)3][BArF] as catalyst. The 2 vinyloxymalonate adducts are amenable to comprehensive and orthogonal functionalizations on either malonate and enol moieties; further synergistic reactivity opens the stage to varied annulation strategies.
