Cyclometalated platinum(II) complexes with appropriate ligand design and molecular structure have shown intriguing luminescent properties and they hold great potential as phosphorescent emitters for practical OLED applications. Herein, two series of tetradentate Pt(II) complexes supported by C^N*N^C and C^C*C^C ligands and a series of dinuclear Pt(II) complexes bridged by hydroxypyridyl ligands are synthesized. These complexes exhibit desirable photophysical properties and high thermal stability. These complexes have been applied as emissive dopants in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) to evaluate their electroluminescent properties. This dataset contains the experimental spectra of the complexes studied in the project to support the characterization. The photophysical properties including abosorption and emission spectra, as well as time-resolved spectra are involved.
