资源简介:
We aim in this project to study the antimicrobial resistant microorganisms that are causing simple and complicated urinary tract infection (UTI). This is part of a multicentric study which is called DASH for antibiotics. Its a global movement to wisely prescribe antibiotics through antimicrobial sterwdship programmes. Urinary tract infections (UTI) are one of the commonest infections that bring a patient to the doctor and bear a large burden of antimicrobial prescriptions. In this study we will conduct a survey to analyse the antimicrobial prescription patterns of General Practitioners and Specialists working in Medicine, Family and Community medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Surgery and Emergency Medicine in public health institutions and in several private health care centres. We will be analysing all MDR pathogens especially Gram negative bacteria in terms of genomical resistome. The phenotype is also performed in paralel to try synergistic antimicrobial combinations. The primary aim of preparing a local antibiogram is to guide clinicians in optimum selection of empirical antimicrobial therapy for initial infections. In uncomplicated UTI it has even more significance because the treatment is almost always empirical.
