Dust precipitation (deposition) in the air quality monitoring network (LUQS)

By means of open vessels, all substances that come from the surface as dry dust (dry deposition) or together with rainwater (wet deposition) are collected in the terrain. The contents of the vessels are then dried and weighed. From the area of the vessels, the service life and the collected amount of dust precipitation, the dust precipitation load of a surface (unit: Mass per square meter per day) to be calculated. In addition to the dust precipitation mass, the heavy metal content is also determined. The distribution of measurement points is determined nationally according to stress points.
