Bakhtyârnâma (بختيار نامه).

A very modern adaptation of the famous Bakhtyârnâma, see No. 859, 2 above, and Bodleian Cat., No. 475, 3 (col. 436), in Persian verse, made A.H. 1210 (see fol. 142a, l. 2)=A.D. 1795, 1796, by Kadkhudâ Marzubân (see the last verse but one of the poem).

Beginning:

بنام خداوند ربّ جليل – كه آتش گلستان كند بر خليل

Copied in the same year (undoubtedly the author’s own copy), in the month Sha’bân, see the colophon on fol. 142a.

Ff. 143a-154a contain another Persian poem, by the same poet, and composed as well as copied in the same year 1210, styled: قصّۀ خواجه سعيد و خواجه مسعود بازرگان و حكايت عوض الخير و حكايت سگ و عفريت. Beginning:

ابتدا مى كنم بنام خدا

آن خدائى كه هست بى همتا
