资源简介:
TABLE 1. Widely recognised and distributed Kalanchoe hybrids of which K. beharensis is one parent, and cultivars based on these hybrids. The numbering used in the first column coincides with the numbering used in the text. Author attribution of scientific plant names is not given in the Table, but can be found in the text. For comparative purposes, some of the information included in columns 2 to 6 is based on information in Table 1 in Shaw (2008: 33–79). “ K.” = “ Kalanchoe ”. #Nothospecies name and established cultivar epithet [page # in Shaw 2008]ParentageReferences (from Shaw 2008)Notes on Syn./Group (from Shaw 2008)Notes (according to Shaw 2008)A.1K. × hummeliaeK. beharensis × K. millotii---A.1.1K. × hummeliae ‘Fernleaf’ [p. 39, as ‘Be-Harotii’]K. beharensis × K. millotii 1GW2 Hybrid from Ed Hummel, ca. 1970s3“Beechleaf feltbush”Tightly stacked grey felted leavesA.2K. ×edwardiiK. beharensis × K. tomentosa---A.2.1K. ×edwardii ‘Fang’ [p. 48, as ‘Fang’]K. beharensis × K. tomentosaLes Taylor; Rauh (1998: 302, Figure 1105)-Prominent tubercles on leaf undersideA.2.2K. ×edwardii ‘Roseleaf’ [p. 72, as ‘Roseleaf’]K. beharensis × K. tomentosa 4Rauh (1998: 300, Figure 1107); GW2; Graf (1978: 686)5‘Rose Leaf’, ‘Rose-leaf’L[ea]v[e]s deeply incised; mostly pale brown pubescence. This parentage has since been confirmed (Smith 2020b: 91). 2 “GW” = Glasshouse Works, Church Street, P.O. Box 97, Stewart, Ohio 45778-0097, U.S.A. (www.glasshouseworks.com). 3 The date is actually 1961; see Smith & Figueiredo (2019b: 84–85). 4 Shaw (2008: 72) gave the origin of K. ‘Roseleaf’ as “2/?”, with “/” referring to “variously assigned to taxa indicated”, while “?” refers to “uncertain” (see Shaw 2008: 33). The “taxa indicated” are: (1) a hybrid with parentage “2×35”, i.e., K. beharensis × K. tomentosa Baker (1882: 110), or (2) a hybrid with parentage “2×19”, i.e., K. beharensis × K. lanceolata (Forsskål 1775: CXI & 89) Persoon (1805: 446) [as K. pilosa Baker (1895: 289)]. Note though that mention of K. pilosa, i.e., K. lanceolata, was probably a reference to K. tomentosa. In all likelihood reference to K. pilosa was based on a statement in, and repeated from, Graf (1980) and earlier editions of that work. The numbers used by Shaw (2008: 72) refer to the following species: “2” = K. beharensis; “19” = K. lanceolata (as K. pilosa); and “35” = K. tomentosa (see Shaw 2008: 33). 5 “Graf (1978: 686)” [presumably the 9 th edition of A.B. Graf’s Exotica] cited by Shaw (2008: 72), was not seen during the present study. However, the edition published two years later, Graf (1980), was seen, with the kalanchoes illustrated and discussed on pp. 682–689 and pp. 1637–1638, respectively. Kalanchoe ‘Roseleaf’, with the cultivar epithet written as one word, was included on pp. 686 and 1638 of Graf (1980). 6 The Japanese text in Hirose & Yokoi (1998: 154), flṽṿ¬± ‘ ȗkǫffǿ ’, translates as Kalanchoe ‘Sennyo no Mai Nishiki’ (Jun Ikeda personal communication by email on 19 September 2022), i.e., the cultivar name. This proposed cultivar name therefore lacks a description of any kind (Brickell et al. 2016: Art. 27.2). Kalanchoe ‘Sennyo no Mai Nishiki’ was listed in Shaw (2008: 73) as having been derived from K. beharensis, the species, through reference to “2”, the number used for K. beharensis (see footnote ‘7’ to this Table, below). 7 Jun Ikeda (personal communication by email on 19 September 2022) confirmed that Kalanchoe ‘Sennyo no Mai Nishiki’ is a leaf-variegated variant of K. ×edwardii Smith & Shtein (2020: 120), and not of K. beharensis, the species.
