To run the code included in the supplements requires an installation of the statistical package R and the R packages RNetCDF and nlme. The first supplement, NilssonOrtman_RGRdata.csv, contains all the necessary data on size-corrected larval growth rates used to produce Fig. 6 in the main text. Using the R code in the second supplement, NilssonOrtman_mixed_models.R, together with the data in NilssonOrtman_RGRdata.csv, allows the reader to recreate the mixed-effect models analysis used to produce Table 3 in the main text. The third supplement, NilssonOrtman_simulation.R, contains stand-alone R code using simulated climate data illustrating the approach underlying the larval life cycle simulations used to estimate ontogenetic changes in the thermal niche of Coenagrion species.
