资源简介:
These data were compiled for upland vegetation and soil condition assessment and monitoring in arid, semiarid, and montane areas of northwest San Juan County, Utah, USA, near The Nature Conservancy's Canyonlands Research Center (CRC) at Dugout Ranch. The sampling area includes the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park, the Indian Creek Allotment of the Bureau of Land Management Monticello Field Office, the Monticello Ranger District of the Manti-La Sal National Forest, and State and private lands. This data release contains sampling events between 2006 and 2024. The data represent multiple sampling and resampling efforts by the US Geological Survey (USGS) and partners at Utah State University (USU) and Weber State University (WSU). Study objectives included development and revision of ecological state concepts and assessment and monitoring of rangeland conditions and mule deer habitat quality. These data can be used to represent the plant communities and soil surface conditions at the time of sampling.
