Vibrio cholerae strain CNRVC190247 is a non-O1/non-O139 strain of sequence type (ST) 555 that was isolated in Yemen in 2018. It carries on its second chromosome the 20-kb multi-drug resistance pseudo-compound transposon YemVchMDRI, which provides resistance to macrolide, sulphonamide and cephalosporin drugs. We sequenced this strain using a combination of Oxford Nanopore Technology long reads and Illumina short reads to obtain a high-quality reference genome assembly.
