如今,物联网(IoT)在社会中发挥着举足轻重的作用,并为不同的行业带来了新的能力[1-3]。物联网项目在交通和医疗保健等领域越来越受欢迎,新的应用正在开发中[4,5]。这种新模式依赖于广泛连接的传感器和执行器网络,其中有多个设备产生网络流量[6-8]。多年来,研究和工业界一直在发展这一概念,这些设备越来越多地出现在我们的日常生活中。 这项技术已经改变了几个领域。例如,在医疗保健应用中,可以使用物联网技术定期监测患者[12-14]。在交通运输领域,物联网设备已被用于检测和预防事故[15-17]。工业物联网(IIoT)也带来了不同的解决方案,如高可靠性、低延迟的自动化监控和协同控制[18]。物联网应用也被开发用于教育[19]、航空[20]和林业[21]等领域。在过去十年中,社会经历了物联网连接的急剧增加[22]。事实上,未来几年不同领域的物联网连接将会增加[23]。这激发了依赖于高度分布式基础设施的业务想法和新概念的创建和发展。此外,已经提出了各种策略来解决物联网运营中的潜在问题,即利用过去几年取得的科学发现来部署新服务
Nowadays, the Internet of Things (IoT) plays a pivotal role in society and has brought new capabilities to various industries [1-3]. IoT projects are gaining increasing popularity in fields such as transportation and healthcare, with new applications under development [4,5]. This new paradigm relies on widely connected networks of sensors and actuators, where numerous devices generate network traffic [6-8]. Over the years, both the research community and industry have been developing this concept, and these devices have become increasingly prevalent in our daily lives. This technology has transformed several domains. For instance, IoT technologies can be used for regular patient monitoring in healthcare applications [12-14]. In the transportation sector, IoT devices have been employed to detect and prevent accidents [15-17]. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has also introduced various solutions, such as automated monitoring and collaborative control with high reliability and low latency [18]. IoT applications have also been developed for fields including education [19], aviation [20], and forestry [21]. Over the past decade, society has witnessed a dramatic increase in IoT-connected devices [22]. In fact, the number of IoT connections across different fields will continue to grow in the coming years [23]. This has spurred the creation and development of business ideas and new concepts that rely on highly distributed infrastructures. Furthermore, various strategies have been proposed to address potential issues in IoT operations, leveraging scientific advances made in recent years to deploy new services.
