Genomes of two invasive African and two non-invasive global clade Salmonella Enteritidis

Invasive strains of non-typhoidal salmonellae have emerged as a prominent cause of bloodstream infection in African adults and children, with an associated case fatality of 20-25%. While serovar Typhimurium was determined to be the main cause of iNTS in Africa, serovar Enteritidis was responsible for approximately 2/3 of cases in Latin America. Here we describe finished genome assemblies of 4 strains, 2 invasive and 2 non-invasive.
