Vibrio sp. C8 strain:C8 Genome sequencing

We are interested in cellulase-producing microorganisms as potential biocontrol agents of oomycete diseases. While searching for cellulase-producing microorganisms in association with green seaweeds, we isolated a new species of Vibrio, which we designated Vibrio sp. C8. Here we report the draft genome sequence of Vibrio sp. nov. C8.
