Supplementary Data for Soil Microarthropod detection study using Edapholog

The Edapholog^® extractor is a fully automated device that identifies live soil microarthropods using AI-based image analysis. Its performance was validated across ~35,000 individuals from 319 arable fields in ten European countries, achieving 86% accuracy, 75% sensitivity, and 99% specificity compared to manual identifications. Community composition analyses showed 83% similarity and low taxonomic bias. In a long-term experiment, the system detected significant increases under conservation tillage: 39% in abundance, 47% in richness, and 150% in a soil biological health index.
