Supplementary Material to '<i>Mechanical instabilities and snapping phenomena in helical rods with perversion</i>'
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains videos, data, and coding notebooks associated with the publication '<i>Mechanical instabilities and snapping phenomena in helical rods with perversion</i>' by Dilly et al.<br><b>CONTENTS:</b><b>Biphasic model calculation</b>: Biphasic numerical data, as well as a 360° view of the double-well energy surface is provided in the two attached Mathematica notebooks and the two text data files. The first Mathematica notebook also details the analytical derivation of the <i>h(Gamma,z</i><em>0</em><i>)</i> function.<b>Shooting calculation</b>: Shooting method, the Python code.<b>Supplemental video 1</b>: Video illustrating a chirality inversion in the biphasic model, with plots in both the <i>(z,n)</i> and <i>(kappa,tau)</i> planes.<b>Supplemental video 2</b>: Video shows the experiment with writhing transition.<b>Supplemental video 3</b>: Video shows the 3D reconstruction of the experiment with writhing transition.<b>Supplemental video 4</b>: Continuous generation of a perversion in the system: small number of turns n0 and z0 close to zero.<b>Supplemental video 5</b>: Continuous generation of a perversion in the system at z0 and n0 corresponding to the case discussed in text.<b>Supplemental video 6</b>: Snapping to self-contact and demonstration of hysteresis.<b>Data from figures:</b> The file contains data presented in figures.
