LAI - spectrometer - mosaic

The ratio of upper leaf surface area to ground area (for broadleaf canopies), or projected conifer needle surface area to ground area (for coniferous plants) for a given unit area; quantified by an industry standard (ATCOR) algorithm based on Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI) as input; level 3 data are provided as 1 km by 1 km mosaic tiles. Data are derived from the "Spectrometer orthorectified surface directional reflectance - flightline" data product (DP1.30006.001).
