Boundaries of the framework operational plan areas

Scopes of framework operating plans for mining operations under mining supervision. The framework operating plan (Section 52(2)(1) of the Federal Mining Act) defines the spatial, temporal and material framework within which the planning of a mining operation is carried out over a longer period of time. It requires approval by the LBGR. A distinction is made between optional framework operational plans and mandatory framework operational plans. A planning approval procedure is required for the approval of the latter.
