UFP measurements Vienna Airport.

Since the end of January 2022, the Federal Environment Agency has been carrying out measurements of ultrafine particle (UFP) concentrations as well as fine particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide in Mannswörth (substation) and Klein-Neusiedl, northwest and southeast of Vienna Airport. The UFP concentrations (annual averages of 15,000 and 10,900 particles/cm3) are higher than in the urban background in Vienna and Graz and significantly higher than in Illmitz. The results show that the UFP concentrations at both stations are dominated by emissions from the OMV refinery and the airport. The UFP concentrations show almost no association with other pollutants.
