This data was acquired to evaluate the performance of an image based system to measure water stages in streams and rivers.
It contains measurements performed visually and stored (NR_Visual_Data_120201_120724.csv)
It contains the measurements performed automatically by the system studied corresponding to those done visually (NR_Gaugecam_Data_120201_120724.csv)
It contains the measurements done automatically (GC) and those measured by ISCO, HOBO, and Sontek instruments (NR-GC-vs-ISCO.csv)
Methods
The water stage data were collected in a tidal marsh of the coast of North Carolina exactly at 34°49'03.7"N 76°36'16.5"W.
The visual data was collected from visually reading water stage in images taken by a time lapse camera equipped with an IR illuminator for nighttime readings.
The automatically read data was collected from image analysis using the GaugeCam system.
The ISCO, HOBO, and Sontek data were acquired along side the other data.
