Supplementary Material of the Article "Calcium carbonate in dentistry: A bibliometric review of emerging applications and trends."

Purpose of the Study: To perform a bibliometric review of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) applications in dentistry, identifying research trends, thematic evolution, and global contributions.
Methodology: A comprehensive search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS-CC) on March 29, 2025, without restrictions on language or year. The protocol was registered in the Open Science Framework (DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/C2TVZ). Only original research articles and reviews explicitly addressing CaCO₃ in dental contexts were included. Screening was performed independently by two reviewers using the Rayyan platform, with conflicts resolved by consensus.
Study Design: Bibliometric analysis, with classification of included studies into in vitro, in vivo, in situ, clinical, combined designs, or reviews.
Data Collected: Bibliographic metadata including titles, authors, publication years, journals, citations, citation density, institutions, countries of origin, keywords, study designs, and research topics.
Supplementary Files: The dataset is accompanied by the search strategy (Table 1), the PRISMA-style flow diagram of the screening process (Figure 1), tables of bibliometric results (Tables 2–6), keyword and author network visualizations (Figures 2–6), and a Supplementary Table with the most cited global articles.
