We report separation of the viscous fluid component of the cytoplasm, the cytosol, from the elastic solid, the cytomatrix and describe distinct molecular pathways of each compartment. Overall design: mRNA profiles of the cytosol (Cyt) and cytomatrix (CMX) at normal growth condition and under the treatment of mTOR-KI, pp242 with 2 replicates for each condition
