东江湖位于湘粤赣三省交界处、湖南省资兴市南部，罗霄山脉南端，八面山西坡，南岭北坡，地理范围是113&deg17′52″～113&deg41′48″E， 25&deg35′46″～26&deg00′10″N，坐落在汝桂山脉中，汝桂山脉为中低山地貌，地势东高西低。东江湖包括44个岛屿，水面总面积为145.70 km&sup2。东江湖位于湘江支流的耒水上游，其中发源于桂东的东江水系，经汝城从东南入境；发源于八面山西侧的永乐江水系，流经资兴市内东北角，两者均经东江湖入耒水。水面边界的划定是在Google Earth遥感影像(2014)上提取。东江湖湖泊界限数据包括线状数据和面状数据，采用.kmz和.shp格式存储，数据文件数15个，数据量27.0 MB；压缩为2个文件，8.66 MB。

Located at the junction of Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces, in the southern part of Zixing City, Hunan Province, at the southern end of the Luoxiao Mountains, the western slope of Bami Mountain and the northern slope of the Nanling Mountains, Dongjiang Lake geographically ranges from 113°17′52″E to 113°41′48″E and 25°35′46″N to 26°00′10″N. It is situated within the Rugui Mountains, which feature medium-to-low mountain landforms with a terrain higher in the east and lower in the west. Dongjiang Lake has 44 islands, with a total water surface area of 145.70 km².

Dongjiang Lake is located in the upper reaches of the Leishui River, a tributary of the Xiangjiang River. The Dongjiang River system, originating in Guidong, enters from the southeast via Rucheng; the Yongle River system, originating on the western side of Bami Mountain, flows through the northeastern corner of Zixing City. Both rivers empty into the Leishui River via Dongjiang Lake.

The water surface boundary was extracted from Google Earth remote sensing images (2014). The lake boundary data of Dongjiang Lake includes linear and polygonal datasets, stored in .kmz and .shp formats. There are 15 original data files with a total size of 27.0 MB; after compression, the data is packaged into 2 files with a total size of 8.66 MB.
