The accession contains physical profile data in the TESAC format. This contains one month data that was sent as radio messages from ships to Ocean Products Center (OPC) in March 1990. Data was collected as part of Integrated Global Ocean Service System (IGOSS) and was received from the OPC, Camp Springs, Maryland. The data on magnetic disk sent by Mr. William D. Newell has been copied to current NODC data storage format.
