资源简介:

A 5-day workshop was initiated by the research team and project partners. The aim was to facilitate intergenerational engagement between members of the Tonga community skilled in crafting and unemployed and disempowered youth. The elders were seasoned experts in the production of various crafts that range from basketry to carving. The workshop facilitated dialogue between youth and elders. The 62 files in this folder are the recordings (audio, visual and text-based) of the conversations and creative artifacts shared and created over the course of the workshop. They include: songs, poetry, storytelling and folk stories. The Zimbabwe Project was one of the original Proof of Concept projects within DEPA (Decolonising Education for Peace in Africa). DEPA was a 4-year project funded by the Arts and Humanities Council (AHRC) addressing the question: What are the different knowledges and values underpinning peace and how can these practices be connected and compared across countries to create curriculum content and mode of delivery in informal and formal settings, Secondary and Higher Education (HE), in order to decolonise peace education?
