Amplitude seismic data of Stromboli for article 'Forecasting paroxysmal eruptions at Stromboli using machine learning and seismic features time series '
收藏资源简介:
Here we provide amplitude seismic data from station IST3, located north/east of the summit of Stromboli volcano (Aeolian Islands, Italy, IV network), from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2024 (9 years). The vertical velocity component time series was processed to generate two separate data streams, each consisting of 10-minute root-mean-square (RMS) amplitude windows sampled at 10-minute intervals: (1) the tremor band (rmstremor), computed by bandpass filtering the velocity trace in the 1–3 Hz range and computing the RMS amplitude over non-overlapping 10-minute windows; and (2) the very-long-period band (rmsvlp), similarly computed in the 0.01–0.1 Hz range. Gaps in the time series were imputed by linear interpolation; because these gaps occur predominantly in non-eruptive periods, a subsequent downsampling step reduces their influence on model outputs [14,15]. The paroxysm catalogue documented three paroxysmal events: 2019-07-03 14:46 UTC, 2019-08-28 10:17 UTC, and 2024-07-11 12:08 UTC.
