This study focuses on conducting whole-genome resequencing of Massarina sp., a fungus isolated from an industrial wasteland in Vieux-Charmont, France, by the Chrono-environment laboratory at University Franche-Comte. As part of the EU HORIZON-BIOSYSMO project, the research aims to explore the genetic mechanisms underlying the metal tolerance of Massarina sp. Through comprehensive genomic analysis, the study seeks to identify specific genes and pathways that contribute to the fungus's ability to thrive in environments contaminated with heavy metals.
