Landfills TKO 1:50 000

The database of TKO landfills began intensively in 1992, as part of the project of the Slovak Geological Office Maps of Land Use for Landfills" in M 1: 50 000, for the whole territory of the Slovak Republic. As part of this task, the registration of landfills took place in all districts of the Slovak Republic in M1: 10 000. The data are regularly updated (e.g. area expansion of the landfill, changes in volume, establishment of a monitoring system, closure of the landfill). The update takes place on an annual basis, either on the basis of reports from the Environmental Care Department staff or by direct input from authorised personnel.
