SNPs screened using ddRAD-seq

A genome-wide SNP screening using ddRAD sequencing on two meat-type pigeon breeds, Chinese Shiqi pigeon and the imported White King meat-type pigeon, which exhibit significant differences in intramuscular fat content, was performed. We aimed to identify potential molecular markers associated with fat-related traits and explore candidate genes that could be used for studying the fat deposition capacity in meat-type pigeons and improving the fat-related traits in meat-tyep pigeons.
