The database spans over 150 countries and regions, with data dating back to 1971 (OECD countries starting from 1960), and provides raw unit data for various energy types including coal, oil, natural gas, renewable energy and more. The data center has also developed key energy-related indicators such as energy prices, public R&D and energy efficiency, making it an important platform for global energy transition and clean energy tracking.
