资源简介:

Dataset used to investigate physiological and perceptual responses to exercise under heat stress following ten days of continuous normobaric hypoxic exposure in physically active women. Participants completed either a hypoxia intervention, comprising 10 days of continuous residence at a simulated altitude equivalent to ~3500 m above sea level, or a free-living control condition. Before and after the intervention period, participants provided resting venous blood samples, and completed a 45-minute submaximal cycling bout at 40% maximal aerobic power while wearing an insulated heat suit. Data include key participant characteristics. Exercise-related data include core and mean skin temperature responses, cardiorespiratory and metabolic responses, perceptual responses, and capillary blood variables. Resting data include circulating heat shock proteins and pulse oxygen saturation across the intervention. Cardiorespiratory and metabolic data correspond to averages from the final 10 minutes of the 45-minute exercise bout, while subjective ratings reflect those reported in the final two minutes of exercise. Capillary blood variables are provided as changes from rest to end-exercise.
