Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica Genome sequencing and assembly

This sample is part of a study where Salmonella enterica samples isolated from Sao Paulo, Brazil between 2000 and 2019 had their antimicrobial resistance profile characterized. A group of samples were chosen according to their antimicrobial resistance profile and relevance to have their whole-genome sequenced. The sample herein reported is a Salmonella Enteritidis ST11 isolated in 2008 from a patient feces which presented phenotypical resistance against cefotaxime, imipenem, ceftazidime, gentamicin, and sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim. We did not detect any beta-lactam resistance genes despite its phenotype.
