Petrology of Koettlitz Group meto-sediments and gneisses from the mid Taylor Valley and mid Ferrar Glacier areas

Highly deformed Koettlitz Group rocks from the mid Taylor Valley, Dun Glacier and Catherdral Rocks areas contain migmatitic and non-migmatitic gneisses of unknown parentage. Detailed mapping and examination of these localities was conducted, followed by petrological and geochemical work to determine the origin of these gneisses. Four sites were used to study the gneisses; mid Taylor Valley, Nussbaum Reigel area, Dun Glacier and Darkowski Glacier.
