CLAPE: A multimodal dataset integrating cultural, psychological, and physiological signals for student engagement analysis"

The CLAPE dataset is a multimodal dataset designed for comprehensive student engagement analysis. It integrates cultural, psychological, academic, behavioral, and physiological signals, including eye-based pupil dilation measurements derived from video data. The dataset was collected from 34 participants across two structured learning sessions conducted in controlled environments. It includes synchronized multimodal features and has been expanded to over 10,000 samples using validated data augmentation techniques to support robust machine learning applications. The dataset is organized into structured components comprising participant metadata, cultural and psychological attributes, academic performance indicators, behavioral features, and time-series physiological measurements. All data are provided in standardized, machine-readable formats with accompanying metadata and documentation. CLAPE supports research in multimodal learning analytics, artificial intelligence, cognitive modeling, and educational data science, enabling the development and benchmarking of engagement detection models.
