This dataset was constructed to meet the research needs of deterioration mechanism studies on protective materials for palm-leaf manuscripts and the evaluation of their mechanical properties. The dataset was collected from April 2024 to October 2025 by the Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Zhengzhou University. Based on accelerated aging tests under simulated acid-base environments in the laboratory, core parameters such as crystallinity, surface pH value, and tear index of palm-leaf manuscript simulation samples under dry-heat and wet-heat conditions were systematically recorded. Using Spearman and Pearson correlation analyses, a predictive model of the mapping relationship between material structure-chemical state and mechanical properties was established. The dataset includes basic test data and statistical analysis results, with fields such as sample ID, crystallinity, surface pH value, and tear index, as well as model indicators including correlation coefficients, regression parameters, and goodness of fit. This dataset provides important data support for the deterioration state evaluation, rapid mechanical property prediction, and formulation of scientific protection strategies for palm-leaf manuscript relics, and possesses traceability and comparability.
