Fiscal, governance, and control variables for paper submitted to World Development

The data include fiscal variables from UNU-WIDER (originally ICTD); economic control variables from Penn World Table and World Development Indicators; the Economic Complexity Index from the Atlas of Economic Complexity (Harvard); political regime characteristics from Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem), World Governance Indicators, and Polity V; year and unit dummies; and a variety of variables derived or transformed from these.
