Bibliographic Dataset on LiDAR Applications in Agriculture

This dataset contains a curated collection of 365 scientific publications on the use of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) in agricultural and environmental applications, covering the period 1980–2025. The dataset was compiled as part of a doctoral thesis on orchard monitoring using 3D LiDAR sensors, and serves as a reference for bibliometric and state-of-the-art analyses. The file is provided in CSV format and includes detailed metadata for each publication, such as: Year of publication Title and authors DOI (when available) Research target (e.g. crop density, spray, navigation, canopy structure) LiDAR modality (2D / 3D, UAV / ground-based) Abstracts and keywords Additional methodological and experimental details This open bibliographic dataset can support literature reviews, trend analysis, and meta-research on remote sensing, agricultural robotics, crop monitoring, and precision agriculture. Researchers are encouraged to reuse and expand this dataset in future reviews, bibliometric analyses, or machine learning applications involving scientific text mining.
